Jennette McCurdy (Jennette Michelle Faye McCurdy) (born June 26, 1992) is an American teen actress and singer. She currently stars as Sam Puckett in the Nickelodeon show, iCarly with actress Miranda Cosgrove and Nathan Kress. She has also guest starred in a number of other television series, including Malcolm in the Middle, Zoey 101, Will & Grace, Strong Medicine, and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. Her debut album will be released June 30, 2009. The first single, "So Close" was released on iTunes March 10. Jennette McCurdy was born in Garden Grove, California. She started her acting career at the age of eight. She has three older brothers named Marcus, Dustin and Scott. McCurdy has 3 dogs (Dopey, Chewie and Musashi) and a turtle (Zeus). Besides acting and singing McCurdy also enjoys ice-skating. She has been figure skating ever since 2007 and she loves to play ice hockey as well. She also loves playing Donkey Kong and Mario Brothers. She has a collection of over 500 pokemon cards and 2500 yugioh cards. As early as June 2008, McCurdy let fans know on her official web site that she was working on her debut album, due for a 2009 release. She said she is not signed to Nickelodeon's label, and the album is not affiliated with Nickelodeon at all. It was announced on January 19, 2009 that her first single will be called "So Close",[1] and was released on March 10, 2009 and is now in itunes store.[2] It has also been said that maybe about three singles will be released leading up to the album's release.[3][4] 'So Close' hit #16 on the Country iTunes in less than 24 hours and #60 on the Top 100 Billboards.
